I haven't heard of Publisher for about eight years, and this week two guys doing lodge notices bring it to my attention.
Is using Publisher for lodge notices a landmark or something? _________________ R J Hayes, PM

Yeah, I think Anderson had something about "archaic software."
For what it's worth, I use Publisher to print catalogs and other business- related odds and ends. It's pure shite for websites. _________________ S&F,

I agree with all above Don't use Publisher, or Word either for that matter to develop a webpage or a website. The dificulty is with all the garbage it adds in the background.
Wat Imakegarb proposes also is theft of intellectual property. I did not appreciate it with one of my sites.
If you can, Expressions Web is reasonably priced and has some good basic formats.
CoffeeCup is free and fairly easy as it is mostlly a wysiwyg program.
If all else fails, go to Weebly.com, create a template site, download that to your computer. Then use Coffee Cup to tweek it taking out some stuff you don't want and or changing pictures. Then publish it back to your domain instead of weebly's. Remember to always use your own graphics you have copyright to, or those in the public domain such as free clipart and such.
If you don't already have a FTP (file transfer protocol) program there are some good free ones out there.... I have directed quite a few people to Core FTP LE. http://www.coreftp.com/ it is free.

Absolutely sucks.
Somebody sent us their book once using it. Never again. |

It makes perfect sense for lodge use. _________________ Do It Because - "It Makes Jump Happy!"
